I’m Jules Hunt, a wellness entrepreneur, yoga & mindfulness teacher, plant lady, and dog mama here to uplift + bring holistic wellness down to earth. I create actionable content geared to simplify your life, inspire personal growth, and empower you to invest in your wellbeing.

I nerd out on productivity hacks, perfectly-crafted matcha lattes, and holistic decluttering. I strongly believe in a healthy kind of hustle that includes full belly laughs, making mistakes, and whole-heartedly loving what you do.

I created Om & The City to share my raw and ever-evolving wellness journey, while giving women the inspiration to take action in their own lives. Holistic wellness isn’t about perfection, it’s about moving forward, sometimes backward, and making the most of every moment in between. Through Om & The City, I hope to inspire wellness, realness, and fearless motivation in your daily life. I want you to make yourself proud. I am here to remind you of your own power and worth.

It All Started When

In high school, depression and an eating disorder trapped me in a negative cycle that continued into college. Through my healing process, I discovered my love for yoga while interning at a local studio in Ohio. Yoga had this snowball effect on my life, which positively impacted other areas of my life from my relationship with food to my overall approach to a mindful and holistic lifestyle.

Right after college I moved to NYC to work in the fashion industry, and I took my newfound healthy habits with me. I've always expressed myself through writing, so starting a blog was a natural progression for me. Alas, in January of 2014, Om & The City was born!

Fast forward to today: I work full-time on Om & The City. I'm a certified yoga & mindfulness teacher, a dog mama to our rescue Luna, fiancé to Andrew (who designed this lil beauty), and a recent Austinite from NYC.

I’m thankful for my struggles. They shaped me, but my struggles do not define me. Through my blog, I’ve been able to break down walls, and show you who I am at my core in hopes it will inspire you to do the same.

What camera and lens do you use?

Sony A700 + Lens Zeiss T* FE 35mm f/2.8. It's linked on my shop page here!

How do you edit your photos?

I created my own custom presets on Lightroom! I recommend getting acquainted with Lightroom for photos you take on your nice camera, and working out a recipe on VSCO for your iPhone photos.

What is your ethnicity?

I’m half Korean / half Irish.

What kind of dog is Luna?

She’s a rescue, so we really don’t know. We always just say she’s a terrier mix, but we suspect she has Wheaton Terrier or Poodle in her genes.

What plants do you have?

In NYC, I had a Birds of Paradise, Monstera, Snake Plant, Pothos, and a variety of succulents. Since I moved to Austin, I am rebuilding my jungle and currently have a Monstera, Snake Plant, Birds of Paradise, Schefflera (a.k.a. Umbrella Plant), Golden Pothos, Ribbon Fern, and the collection keeps growing!
